Jen graduated from the general nursing program at Douglas College in New Westminster in 1999 and went on to complete her nursing degree at UBC.

Since then her career has taken her out of Vancouver, eventually settling in the Whitehorse area for about a decade. She has worked most of her career split between working in advanced practice and in various emergency departments throughout the US and western Canada.

Jen moved to Nakusp in late 2021 and spent time working at ALH before starting Sole Focus with Amanda. She is also a member of the Arrow Lakes Search and Rescue team.
